What is the difference between equal and unequal angle steel in terms of use?
Angle steel is mainly used for various building structures and engineering structures.
The scope of application of unequal angle steel and equilateral angle steel mainly depends on the specific situation. For more complex construction or engineering projects, more unequal angle steel may be used, and more equilateral angle steel will be used for more regular engineering projects.
Unequal angle steel refers to the male angle steel with a right-angled L-shaped section and unequal lengths on both sides. It is mainly used for large-scale structural parts such as workshops, bridges, and vehicles.
Medium unequal angle steel is mainly used for building structures, trusses, iron frames, brackets, etc.; small unequal angle steel is mainly used for structural parts, because the amount of unequal angle steel is less than that of unilateral angle steel, so the relative price is slightly higher.
The equilateral angle steel, commonly known as the angle iron, is a long strip of steel with two sides perpendicular to each other and the two sides are equal in width.
Equilateral angle steel is widely used in various building structures and engineering structures, such as beams, bridges, transmission towers, lifting and transporting machinery, ships, industrial furnaces, reaction towers, container racks and warehouses.
Both unequal angle steel and equilateral angle steel are used as connectors between components, and can be widely used in various municipal public, civil buildings and military industry structures and engineering structures.
But unequal angle steel is more used in various metal structures, bridges, machinery manufacturing and shipbuilding
