The advantage price of 202 cold rolled stainless steel coil is better than 304 stainless steel, most of the 200 series stainless steels sold on the Chinese market have almost no control of sulfur and carbon content in accordance with national standards, and manganese (and nitrogen) has replaced some or all of nickel to produce lower nickel content austenitic stainless steels.

 The disadvantages of 202 cold rolled stainless steel coil are: less than 18% of the chromium content and the low nickel content do not balance the formation of ferrite, for which the chromium content in the 200 series stainless steel is reduced to 13.5% to 15%, some The situation dropped to 13% to 14%, and its corrosion resistance could not be compared with 304 and other similar steels. 

In addition, manganese, and in some cases copper, reduce the effect of repassivation under the acidic conditions common in the corrosion sites of the deposition zone and crevices. 

The destruction rate of 200 series steel under these conditions is approximately 10-100 times that of 304 stainless steel. The residual sulfur content and carbon content in these steels are often not controlled during production, and the material cannot be traced back to the source, even in material recycling. 

If Cr-Mn steels are not specified, they will become a dangerous scrap mixed raw material, leading to castings containing unexpectedly high levels of manganese.
