Indonesia’s export tax on nickel and ferronickel

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA, the government’s plans to prepare fiscal tools in the mining sector are becoming clearer. This time, the government will immediately tax nickel exports to encourage and increase downstream.

This was conveyed directly by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati during a press conference by the Financial System Stability Board (KSSK).

Sri Mulyani said the imposition of export duties on nickel and ferronickel is one of the government’s initiatives to support an increase in the country’s downstream commodities.
